Live @ the Coleman Theatre featuring Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road

The Coleman Theatre
103 N. Main St.
Miami, OK

Enjoy an incredible evening at one of the oldest theaters in the state featuring the best band in the world. Located on Route 66 and nestled in the northeast corner of Oklahoma, the Coleman Theatre is a beacon for tourists from around the world.

Every year visitors flock to the historic vaudeville theatre to experience the Spanish Colonial Mission-style exterior and the Louis XV interior. They marvel at the use of gargoyles, dolphins, cherubs and faces throughout the facility, along with the “Mighty Wurlitzer” pipe organ. The Coleman Theatre guestbook reads like a geography text book with the number of different countries represented.

The theatre, built in 1929 by George L. Coleman Sr., took less than a year to complete at a cost of $600,000. At the time of its opening, Miami was the third largest city in Oklahoma to have a theatre with a refrigeration system for stable temperatures all year.

Among the many stars who have performed on the Coleman Theatre stage are Will Rogers, Tom Mix, Sally Rand, Bing Crosby, Jim Thorpe, the magician Harry Blackstone and Moscelyn Larkin.

The Coleman was used by Charles Banks Wilson to paint the murals that are in the Oklahoma State Capitol. Wilson’s studio was located across the street from the Coleman Theatre, but was not large enough to hold the massive paintings.

Tickets are only $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors and $5 for children 12 and under. Purchase yours before it's sold out ONLINE, by phone, 918.540.2425, or at the Coleman Theatre Box Office.

Eighteenth Century Paris is the theme for Enid Symphony Hall. The al fresco stage mural of Government Springs Park creates the illusion that you are seated in a palatial grand room that was always a part of Enid.

The faux stone stage floor is a replication of many floors found in the Palace of Versailles. The floor is complemented by wall finishes which recreate an elegant eighteenth century Damask fabric.

The Symphony Hall seats 340 including private box seating for sixteen in Louis XV arm chairs. The lapis pilasters are gilded with 23-carat gold leaf. The stage mural musicians are replications of paintings by Jean-Antoine Watteau Mezzetin, 1718 and Francois Boucher, The Music Lesson, mid 1700’s.

The south wall mural features a collage of musicians and dancers by Orazio Gentileschi, Young Woman Playing the Lute, 1626, Nicolas Poussin, The Dance to the Music of Time, 1640 and Bartolomeus van der Helst, The Musician, 1662. The balcony murals include a collage of replications from Raphael, Apollo and the Muses from Parnassus, 1510, Laurent de LaHyre Allegory of Music – Singing Putto, 1649 and Caravaggio, The Lute Player, 1595.
